Retromania: Pop Culture's Addiction to Its Own Past - Simon Reynolds
An in-depth look at the recycling of popular culture through the eyes of a music critic. Such trends as Northern Soul and people like Billy Childish and groups like Sha Na Na are explained. I certainly openly mock anybody who is enthusiastic about some facet of retro culture as being lame and out of it unless it is the facet of retro culture that I am enthusiastic about. Then, I'm all for it.
