Comments from another blog:

"The show is quite good. It's one of the first concerts of 1973, it includes Childhood's End and it's a major upgrade compared to the other releases. The sound is VG/VG+ and there is a major speed problem on One Of These Days (runs way too fast). This is worth having just for the nice version of Childhood's End! Highly recommended to all."

Today was Mr. Gilmour's 67th birthday. It homage to the man, in addition to listening to a really boomy (Kiel Auditorium - capacity = 9,300/opened = 1934/demolished = 1992) boot of this show, I listened to Mr. Gilmour's three largely forgettable solo LPs. I think I read somewhere that he felt that his first solo LP "had to be made" considering the music that the Pink Floyd was making at the time. No, It didn't. Pete Townshend wrote a couple of the songs on "About Face" (1984) and I could totally tell which songs they were on the record without even looking at the credits. I like his last solo album, "On an Island" (2006), the best of the three although it is probably the blandest.
